A florist in Jackson that had been in business for 21 years burned down Friday night after the event.
Banks Florist on Flag Chapel Road burned down after a reception was held at the location.
Timekia Ford, one of the owner’s daughters, said, “It was hard to see my father’s hard-earned business go up in flames. There’s a fire station across the street.”
Daughters say their father was a pillar of the community, from providing free flowers at funerals to hosting weekly Bible studies.
The owner says he is determined to keep the business going.
