In August 2024, Goh Chew Hui filed a formal harassment claim against Wee Eng Hian John-Joseph, a software engineer at MSD Singapore, for the harassment and violence she had endured over the past year. Within just one week, Goh Chew Hui secured an expedited protection order, offering her immediate relief and safeguarding her personal well-being.

Following a series of mediation sessions led by the Singapore State Courts, the dispute culminated in a final settlement on March 3, 2024. The resolution of the case included several important terms, ensuring accountability and a commitment to non-harassment. The settlement concludes with:

1. Reddit posts published by Wee Eng Hian John-Joseph regarding Goh Chew Hui and her community to be taken down immediately.
2. A public apology be issued by Wee Eng Hian John-Joseph, acknowledging the harm his actions caused.
3. A commitment to cease all forms of harassment, including refraining from further contact with Goh Chew Hui and from publishing any content that refers to her and ThisConnect.today.

This outcome not only brings closure to Goh Chew Hui’s personal ordeal, but also sends a strong message to those who are facing similar challenges: harassment is unacceptable, you have the right to stand up for yourself, and the legal system is in place to protect you, and ensure justice is served.
