Graphion Energy Solutions and Lao Government Launch Comprehensive Electric Motorcycle Initiative in Southern Laos

Graphion Energy Solutions USA, in collaboration with the Lao Ministry of Energy and Mines, has officially launched a pioneering national electric vehicle initiative featuring the Ewave brand of electric motorcycles. This ambitious project introduces the world’s first charging technology capable of fully charging electric motorcycles in just 30 minutes, propelling Laos toward its goal of achieving a 30% share of electric motorcycles by 2030.

This initiative builds on a successful showcase at the 2024 ASEAN Energy Business Forum and includes a government pilot program that deploys Ewave motorcycles for use by various government agencies, including the Ministry of Commerce, Energy Policy Department, Police, and National Congress.

Key Infrastructure Deployment

At the heart of this initiative are two advanced rapid charging stations that can achieve a full charge in 30 minutes. Among these, one station is solar-powered, ensuring a sustainable charging solution that reduces reliance on the electrical grid.

A Holistic National Strategy for Electric Mobility

The partnership represents a comprehensive ecosystem approach to electrification, featuring:

– Rapid Charging Technology: Graphion’s proprietary Lithium battery system provides rapid charging, longevity, and reliable performance with a fire-safe design.

– Vehicle Solutions: A range of new Ewave electric motorcycles and affordable conversion services for existing gasoline models extend vehicle lifecycles and minimize waste.

– Free Charging Infrastructure: Initial deployment of charging stations in Vientiane sets the stage for a nationwide network of complimentary rapid chargers.

– Incentivization Program: A Carbon Emission Token Reward System encourages sustainable choices among users.

– Local Capacity Building: Training programs and technology transfer initiatives will empower local stakeholders in production, conversion, and maintenance, ensuring sustainability and expertise within the local community.

Exclusive Southern Laos Distribution Agreement

In line with this initiative, Graphion has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Champa Lasee Sole Co., Ltd. This partnership will expand Ewave electric motorcycle solutions and rapid charging technology across four southern Lao provinces: Champasak, Attapeu, Sekong, and Salavan.

Distribution Partnership Highlights:

– Exclusive Supply Rights: Champa Lasee Sole Co., Ltd. will be the sole distributor for Ewave electric conversion kits and pre-converted bikes in southern Laos.

– Rapid Charging Infrastructure Deployment: The establishment of Ewave charging stations capable of delivering full charges in minutes.

– Access to Patent-Protected Technology: The deal includes Graphion’s patent-pending gasoline-to-electric conversion technology specifically for Laos.

– Comprehensive Support Package: Includes conversion kits, technical documentation, and marketing materials for local distributors.

– Extended Warranty Protection: Converted vehicles and components are backed by a two-year full warranty and five-year prorated coverage.

Graphion’s CEO, Nam Ki Yong, expressed enthusiasm for this significant step. “This initiative represents a pivotal milestone in promoting sustainable energy solutions through practical, community-oriented applications of our technology. Our partnership with Champa Lasee ensures that we meet the needs of southern Laos efficiently.”

A spokesperson from Champa Lasee Sole Co., Ltd. remarked on the local impact of this partnership: “Collaborating with Graphion allows us to provide advanced electric mobility technology, dramatically reducing fuel costs and enhancing energy efficiency for our customers.”

Synergy with National EV Initiative

The distribution agreement complements the broader national initiative, which includes:

– Government pilot programs deploying Ewave motorcycles across multiple agencies.

– Installation of solar-powered and 30-minute rapid charging stations.

– Implementation of a Carbon Emission Token Reward System.

– Local capacity-building initiatives that foster sustainable development.

Economic and Environmental Benefits

The Ewave initiative promises significant advantages for southern Laos, including:

– Fuel cost reductions of up to 95% compared to gasoline motorcycles.
