KEVIN I. ANNOUNCES FIRST NEW MUSIC IN 40 YEARS WITH MY CONTINUUM

Cool Sound Records Japan today announced the release of My Continuum, the first new music in nearly four decades from acclaimed singer-songwriter Kevin I. The EP will be available globally on all major streaming platforms beginning October 14, 2025.

Kevin I., who retired from the entertainment industry in 1987 to pursue a successful corporate career, describes My Continuum as a closing chapter and a message of gratitude to his audience.

“This project was created with thought, determination, and deep gratitude,” Kevin said. “It honors my singing career and the many people who supported me—my coaches, mentors, producers, arrangers, musicians, fellow performers, family, and friends. Most of all, it’s for the fans I never truly said goodbye to when I ended my music career.”

A native of Honolulu, Kevin attended Roosevelt High School and the University of Hawaiʻi, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration. In 1973, he trained in Japan, studying vocal performance while also performing, recording, and modeling. Upon returning to Hawaiʻi, he built a successful career as a recording and performing artist, appearing regularly in Waikīkī venues, recording three albums, co-hosting KHNL’s Good Morning Paradise, and touring with Carole Kai.

His career achievements include:

  • Three Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award nominations for Male Vocalist of the Year
  • A Nā Hōkū Award for Best Engineered Album (New Dimensions)
  • Silver and Grand Prize honors at the 2nd and 3rd Hawaiʻi Music Festivals, which led to his performance at the 1983 Tokyo Music Festival
  • Male Vocalist of the Year recognition from the Honolulu Advertiser

In 1986, Kevin relocated to California and, the following year, made the decision to step away from music. He went on to establish himself as a leading executive in the corporate travel and events industries, earning global recognition as a strategist, author, and award-winning business leader. He retired in 2023.

With My Continuum, Kevin returns to music for the first time in 40 years. The release serves as both a farewell and a final expression of appreciation to his supporters worldwide.
