Ontario’s Largest Shawarma Chain Leads Holiday Kindness Drivewith Pay It Forward Campaign

Lazeez Shawarma, Ontario’s largest and fastest-growing shawarma chain, is continuing its province-wide Pay It Forward campaign this holiday season, inviting communities to spread warmth, generosity, and hope through the power of food.

With more than 70 locations across Ontario — including Mississauga, Toronto, Markham, Hamilton, London, Kitchener, Waterloo, Guelph, Ottawa, Oshawa, Windsor, and more — Lazeez is committed to making kindness accessible to all. Founded in 2013 in Mississauga, Lazeez Shawarma has grown into a household name known for its bold flavours, fresh ingredients, and strong community values. As the brand continues expanding across the province, its mission remains clear: bring people together through authentic Middle Eastern food and meaningful community support.

A Holiday Tradition of Giving Back

The Pay It Forward initiative allows customers to purchase a meal not only for themselves, but also for someone in need. Kindness tickets bought in-store are displayed on the Lazeez Kindness Window, where individuals facing challenges can pick one and redeem it for a free Regular Lazeez on the Rocks — no questions asked.

This year’s campaign runs from December 1 to December 31, 2025 at all Lazeez Shawarma locations across Ontario.

In addition to in-store donations, Canadians nationwide can participate by sending an e-transfer to:

 kindness@lazeezshawarma.com

For every donated amount, Lazeez prints and distributes the equivalent number of Kindness tickets, allowing customers to directly impact someone in their community.

“It’s About More Than Shawarma — It’s About Hope.”

“Our Pay It Forward campaign is about more than shawarma,” says Sahib Rana, Co-Founder of Lazeez Shawarma. “It’s about supporting those facing challenges, lifting each other up, and remembering that generosity is what makes communities strong. When we share food, we share comfort — especially during the holidays.”

Lazeez has always been rooted in compassion. From newcomers and students to families and frontline workers, the brand has consistently worked to support the people who shape Ontario’s diverse and vibrant communities.

From Local Shop to Provincial Movement

What began as a single Mississauga restaurant has evolved into a 70+ location powerhouse across Ontario. Yet Lazeez’s identity remains tied to its community-

focused foundation.

The Pay It Forward campaign reflects Lazeez Shawarma’s long-term commitment to:

  • Combating food insecurity
  • Supporting vulnerable populations
  • Strengthening local neighbourhoods
  • Promoting kindness through action

“Efficiency, consistency, and meaningful action guide our journey,” says Rana. “We’re proud to continue building a brand where good food meets good values.”

Join the Movement

Lazeez Shawarma invites everyone across Ontario to participate in this year’s Pay It Forward initiative — whether by purchasing a Kindness ticket in-store or donating online from anywhere in Canada. Every small act creates a ripple of positivity during a season when kindness matters most.
