Televero Behavioral Health Redefines Success in Mental Health Care with Personalized, One-at-a-Time Sessions

As New Year’s resolutions falter, Televero normalizes single-session therapy as a powerful, personalized step toward lasting change.

AUSTIN, TEXAS —As the New Year begins, millions of Americans set out with fresh goals to prioritize their mental health. But research shows that most resolutions lose steam quickly—less than 10% of people stick with them through year’s end, according to Columbia University. Part of understanding why New Year’s resolutions fail is recognizing that goals often feel overwhelming or all-or-nothing. In response, Televero Behavioral Health is shifting the narrative: meaningful progress doesn’t require perfection, and even a single therapy session can make a real impact.

Televero is embracing single-session interventions (SSIs) as a powerful, accessible form of support—and an essential part of delivering personalized mental health care that meets people where they are.

“We don’t believe you have to commit to 10 or 20 sessions for care to count,” said Ray Wolf, CEO of Televero. “Relief—even in one session—is real. If someone walks away from one visit feeling lighter, more hopeful, or more in control, that’s success.”

One Session Can Make a Difference

Evidence supports that this approach works. A 2025 umbrella review published in the Annual Review of Clinical Psychology analyzed more than 400 trials across age groups and conditions. It found that SSIs significantly improved outcomes in anxiety, depression, substance use, and service engagement.

SSIs—designed to deliver meaningful impact in a single structured session—are especially relevant during periods of transition, like the new year, when motivation is high but time or access may be limited.

“We personalize care based on need, not assumptions,” said Dr. Victor Gonzales, Medical Director at Televero. “For some, that might mean ongoing therapy. For others, a single, targeted session might be exactly what they need right now.”

A More Accessible Path to Care

Most people who access mental health services attend only one session. This isn’t a failure—it’s an opportunity to meet people where they are. Whether someone is seeking immediate relief, testing the waters, or simply not ready to commit to long-term therapy, Televero makes that first step count.

This approach also supports broader mental health access goals. Shorter care models can reduce wait times, lower perceived stigma, and help individuals build trust in the healthcare system.

“Care shouldn’t be one-size-fits-all,” added Wolf. “We’re building a model where a single session is not just accepted—it’s optimized to help people feel better faster.”
