Field of Screams Announces June 5 Recruitment Bonfire for 2026 Haunted Attraction Season

Mountville Haunted Attraction Welcomes Returning Performers and New Recruits to Spring Hiring Event

MOUNTVILLE, Pa. — Field of Screams, nationally recognized as one of America’s premier haunted attractions, will host its third bonfire and recruitment event for the 2026 season on Friday, June 5, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The gathering will be held in Parking Lots 2/3 at 191 College Avenue, Mountville, PA 17554, and is open to anyone interested in becoming part of this year’s cast and crew.

After a successful turnout at the first two bonfire events held on April 10 and May 8, Field of Screams is continuing its spring recruitment campaign with another casual evening designed to introduce potential recruits to the team and atmosphere behind the attraction. Both experienced performers and newcomers are encouraged to attend, and no previous acting or haunted attraction experience is necessary.

“The April and May events brought out great crowds, and we’re excited to meet even more people on June 5,” said Jim Schopf, owner of Field of Screams. “Whether you’ve been involved before or you’re just hearing about us for the first time, the bonfire is a fun and easy way to connect with the crew and see what being part of Field of Screams is all about. If you’ve ever thought about getting paid to scare people, this is the perfect place to begin.”

Activities Planned for the June 5 Bonfire Include:

• Hot dogs, snacks, beverages, and s’mores by the fire
• Music and outdoor games
• Opportunities to meet current cast members and new recruits
• Information about the 2026 season and employment opportunities

The event is free to attend and open to the public. No RSVP is needed, although guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating.

More Seasonal Events Coming Soon

The Juen 5 bonfire marks the third of four planned recruitment nights this spring, with the final event scheduled for July 10. Aside from the fourth bonfire event there will be a season kick-off picnic held on the grounds on Aug 9. Field of Screams also recently hosted its annual Halfway to Halloween Music Fest on May 2, while Corn Cob Acres will hold its Baby Animal Festival during the weekend of May 16–17, 2026.
