Generations Skincare, a Colorado-based skincare company focused on bringing medically recognized ingredients and transparent formulations to everyday consumers, founded by Ann Mattingly-Lowe, 60, is redefining what consumers should expect from modern skincare: clinically informed ingredients, transparent formulation practices, and accessible pricing.
Like many women, Ann Mattingly-Lowe found that years of sun exposure, combined with menopause-related changes, left her dealing with hyperpigmentation, dryness, and aging skin concerns. Frustrated by expensive products that did not always deliver meaningful results, she set out to create something different and reached out to niece, Dr. Theresa Mattingly, Dermatologist, for advice. After Theresa helped her with selecting effective active ingredients, the two began collaborating and Theresa came on as a Medical Consultant. Drawing on a 27-year career in the pharmaceutical industry and a passion for skincare science, Ann founded Generations Skincare to bring effective, science-backed skincare within reach of more women.
What began as a personal search for answers evolved into a mission to help others address common concerns such as uneven skin tone, pigmentation, dryness, and the visible effects of aging without paying luxury skincare prices. Today, Generations Skincare formulates products in small batches with a focus on clinically studied ingredients, transparent formulations, and accessible pricing.
“Most people think retirement is the finish line,” said Ann Mattingly-Lowe, Founder and CEO of Generations Skincare. “For me, it became the beginning of something new. Purpose doesn’t retire.”
Generations Skincare is known for its focus on helping address multiple stages of the pigmentation cycle through targeted formulations. The company’s products are designed to support brighter-looking, more even-toned skin while promoting hydration and healthy aging.
Generations Skincare is the first company in North America to introduce saffron exosomal vesicle technology in a skincare serum. Exoglow™ helps support skin renewal and hydration while addressing the visible effects of chronic underlying inflammation, a key contributor to the appearance of skin aging.
Beyond skincare, Generations Skincare supports mental health initiatives through its Inner Glow Initiative, reflecting the company’s belief that confidence and well-being extend beneath the surface.
Unlike many luxury skincare brands, Generations Skincare prioritizes accessibility without compromising ingredient integrity. Products are developed in small batches in Colorado, emphasizing performance-driven formulations that address concerns such as sun damage, hyperpigmentation, dryness, and visible signs of aging.
“Effective skincare shouldn’t be a privilege reserved for a select few,” Mattingly-Lowe added. “We created Generations Skincare to bridge the gap between science and accessibility so more people can feel confident in their skin.”
Generations Skincare is also part of a broader cultural movement highlighting second-act entrepreneurship, particularly among women over 50 who are redefining career, purpose, and innovation later in life.
