Kathmandu, Nepal — InnoCSR has announced a strategic partnership with Hulas Eco Bricks, a company under the Diwakar Golchha Organisation, to expand non-fired brick manufacturing across Nepal under the Hulas Good Bricks brand.
The partnership comes as air pollution and its impact on human health become growing concerns in Nepal, particularly in the Kathmandu Valley. Cleaner brick-manufacturing technologies can help reduce carbon emissions and local air pollution while meeting the country’s growing demand for construction materials.
Under the agreement, Hulas Eco Bricks will become the exclusive distributor of InnoCSR’s Good Soil Stabilizer and the Master Franchise for Good Bricks Technology in Nepal. The initiative will combine InnoCSR’s low-carbon technology with Hulas’ industrial experience and network of more than 100 dealers and construction-material partners across the country.
The companies aim to establish more than 300 Good Bricks production sites by 2029. A key focus will be to work with existing brick-kiln owners, helping them transition to cleaner, non-fired production rather than displacing established businesses and livelihoods.
The rollout is expected to be supported by InnoCSR’s carbon-credit programme, currently being advanced through discussions with the Government of Nepal and international investment partners. The programme is intended to support equipment investments of approximately NPR 25 million (NPR 2.5 crore) per site, reducing the upfront cost for manufacturers adopting the technology.
At full deployment, the initiative could reduce carbon emissions by more than 1.5 million tonnes of CO₂ annually.
