Napa Valley Museum will present two distinct summer events across its St. Helena and Yountville locations, offering visitors separate opportunities to experience American art, family legacy, film, music, and mid-century visual culture.
This summer marks the first anniversary of The MAC — The Napa Valley Museum of Art and Culture and celebrates a milestone year since opening in Napa Valley on June 28, 2025.
In the year since its debut, the museum has emerged as a sought-after cultural destination, drawing enthusiastic visitors from the local region and beyond who are eager to experience its exceptional exhibitions and vibrant programming. The MAC’s growing popularity reflects a long-standing desire among Napa Valley visitors and residents alike for a world-class cultural experience to complement the region’s renowned food and wine scene.
At The MAC, Victoria Wyeth will appear August 7 through 9, 2026, during The Wyeths: Three Generations | Works from the Bank of America Collection and My Andy: Photographs by Victoria Wyeth. The weekend will include ticketed docent tours on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, along with an after-hours reception on Friday, August 7 featuring wine, small bites, and a special Master Class presented by Victoria.
At Napa Valley Museum Yountville, Friday Night Films at the NVMY will present A Hard Day’s Night on Friday, July 3, 2026, inside the exhibition Mary Blair: Mid-Century Magic. The screening is an additional Independence Day Weekend program connecting The Beatles, 1960s pop culture, and Mary Blair’s design legacy in an immersive museum setting.
Together, the events reflect Napa Valley Museum’s growing summer programming across both locations, while offering visitors two different cultural experiences in Napa Valley.
Victoria Wyeth at The MAC, August 7 Through 9
Victoria Wyeth’s appearance at The MAC offers visitors a rare opportunity to experience the Wyeth exhibitions through the perspective of a family member, photographer, and noted expert on the Wyeth family of artists.
The Wyeths: Three Generations | Works from the Bank of America Collection is the larger anchor exhibition, featuring works that explore the artistic legacy of N.C., Andrew, and Jamie Wyeth. Presented alongside it, My Andy: Photographs by Victoria Wyeth serves as a companion exhibition, adding Wyeth’s candid photographs of her grandfather, Andrew Wyeth, and offering visitors a more personal, behind-the-scenes view of his private world, daily rhythms, and creative life.
Through ticketed docent tours on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, Wyeth will share firsthand stories about her grandfather and the artistic legacy she grew up with.
“I’m super excited to see my photographs presented in the same exhibition as my family’s paintings,” said Victoria Wyeth. “It really feels like you’re touring through my family.”
On Friday, August 7, The MAC will also host an after-hours reception with wine and small bites, during which Wyeth will present a Master Class on the artistic techniques, historical context, and family stories behind works by the Wyeth family of artists.
In addition to her work as a photographer, Wyeth is widely recognized for her expertise on the Wyeth family’s paintings. Her knowledge was shaped by extensive interviews with her grandfather and uncles beginning when she was 14, and she has shared that insight through frequent lectures and educational programs at leading museums.
The Master Class will include discussion of paintings not featured in the exhibition, including some of Andrew Wyeth’s best-known works, such as Christina’s World and Master Bedroom. Guests will also have the opportunity to request discussion of specific paintings with advance notice.
“Visitors get to hear directly from someone who grew up with these works,” Wyeth said. “You can kind of ‘interview’ a family member in the space, which makes it more personal. Art can often feel unapproachable or even a little scary, but it doesn’t have to be.”
The Wyeths: Three Generations | Works from the Bank of America Collection and My Andy: Photographs by Victoria Wyeth are on view through September 13, 2026. The exhibition has been loaned through the Bank of America Art in our Communities® program, through which museums and nonprofit cultural institutions can borrow complete exhibitions curated from the Bank of America Art Collection.

Friday Night Films at NVMY: A Hard Day’s Night on July 3
Napa Valley Museum Yountville will celebrate Independence Day Weekend with a British Invasion-themed edition of Friday Night Films, presenting A Hard Day’s Night, starring The Beatles and directed by Richard Lester, on Friday, July 3, 2026.
The screening will take place inside Mary Blair: Mid-Century Magic, with exhibition admission included in the ticket.
Released in 1964, A Hard Day’s Night captured John, Paul, George, and Ringo at the height of Beatlemania. Directed with raucous, anything-goes energy by Richard Lester, the film features iconic songs including “A Hard Day’s Night,” “Can’t Buy Me Love,” “I Should Have Known Better,” and “If I Fell.” Its fast-paced style, jump cuts, handheld shots, and quick edits synced to the music helped redefine the movie musical and influenced the development of the modern music video.
The screening connects visually and historically with Mary Blair: Mid-Century Magic. A Hard Day’s Night opened in 1964, the same year Walt Disney unveiled the Mary Blair-designed “it’s a small world” at the 1964 New York World’s Fair. Together, the film and exhibition offer visitors a vivid look at the art, design, music, and cultural imagination of the mid-1960s.
