Neckwise Expands Migraine Education With GotMigraines.net

The growing upper cervical chiropractic network is expanding its public education efforts with a new resource exploring migraines, the upper neck and the craniocervical junction.

For millions of people living with migraines, finding answers can become a long and frustrating process. Many undergo neurological evaluations, imaging, medication trials and other approaches while continuing to search for a better understanding of what may be contributing to their symptoms.

Neckwise, a growing multi-state network of upper cervical chiropractic offices, is hoping to add another perspective to that conversation.

The company recently launched GotMigraines.net, an educational platform designed to help the public better understand migraines and explore the potential relationship between the upper neck, nervous system function and the craniocervical junction.

The initiative builds on Neckwise’s broader effort to increase public awareness of an area of the body that its founders believe is often overlooked when people are searching for answers about persistent symptoms.

“Migraines can have an enormous impact on someone’s quality of life, and many people spend years trying to understand why they continue to experience them,” said Matt Morris, D.C., co-founder of Neckwise. “GotMigraines.net was created to give people another educational resource and help them better understand the upper neck and the region where the head and neck meet.”

Looking More Closely at the Upper Neck

The craniocervical junction is the region where the skull meets the upper cervical spine. It includes the uppermost cervical vertebrae and sits in close anatomical relationship to important neurological structures.

Upper cervical chiropractic focuses specifically on this region rather than routinely adjusting the entire spine.

At Neckwise, doctors use 3D CBCT imaging to evaluate each patient’s individual upper cervical anatomy and alignment. That information is used to develop an individualized approach to care involving gentle, precise corrections without the traditional twisting or popping commonly associated with chiropractic adjustments.

“We’re trying to help people understand that upper cervical chiropractic is very different from what many picture when they hear the word chiropractic,” Morris said. “The focus is extremely specific. We use precise imaging and individualized analysis because every person’s anatomy is different.”

GotMigraines.net takes that same educational approach and applies it specifically to migraines.

The website provides information about migraines, the anatomy of the upper cervical spine, the craniocervical junction and the potential relationship between the upper neck and nervous system function. It is intended as an educational resource rather than a replacement for appropriate medical evaluation or treatment.

Building a Broader Health Education Initiative

GotMigraines.net is not Neckwise’s first condition-focused educational platform.

The organization previously launched GotVertigo.com, which focuses on vertigo, dizziness, balance problems and education about the upper neck and craniocervical junction.

Together, the two platforms represent a growing educational initiative from Neckwise focused on helping consumers better understand the upper cervical region and why it may warrant consideration when investigating complex or persistent symptoms.

The strategy also reflects the company’s broader growth.

Founded in 2024 by Matt Morris, D.C., Rusty Lavender, D.C., and Drew Hall, D.C., Neckwise has expanded into a multi-state network of upper cervical chiropractic offices. The company is continuing to add locations while working toward a long-term vision of significantly expanding access to upper cervical chiropractic care.

As its clinical footprint grows, Neckwise is also investing in consumer education.

“Our vision is much bigger than simply opening chiropractic offices,” Morris said. “We want more people to understand the importance of the upper neck, how unique this area is anatomically and why it deserves consideration when someone is trying to better understand their health.”

Helping Patients Ask Better Questions

For Neckwise, the purpose of GotMigraines.net is not to suggest that every migraine originates in the neck.

Instead, the organization says the goal is to help people become better informed about the anatomy involved and understand that the upper cervical region may be one piece of a much larger and often complicated migraine picture.

That distinction is particularly important for people dealing with chronic symptoms, who may encounter numerous possible explanations and treatment options during their search for answers.

By creating dedicated educational resources around migraines and vertigo, Neckwise hopes to make information about the craniocervical junction and upper cervical chiropractic easier for the public to understand.

“Migraine is complex, and there isn’t one explanation that applies to everyone,” Morris said. “Our goal is education. We want people to understand this area of the body, ask better questions and make informed decisions about their health.”
