The platform applies concepts from licensed patented technology developed by inventor Karunesh Rama Kaimal. His three granted U.S. patents are US 12,028,251, US 11,831,539 and US 12,088,498. Pixel Comet is using those concepts to reduce integration complexity and potential API bottlenecks as different services interact.
A connected path through filmmaking
Independent filmmakers often move between separate services for casting, budgets, schedules, professional profiles and distribution. Pixel Comet aims to connect education, development, collaboration, production, talent discovery, portfolios, distribution and monetization so participants can carry their work forward without rebuilding information at every stage.
Modern platforms still depend on APIs. As more applications connect, extensive point-to-point integrations can add technical overhead. Pixel Comet’s use of Kaimal’s licensed technology is intended to reduce unnecessary friction between production, academic, talent, streaming, payments and commerce services. It does not eliminate the need for APIs.
Production talent and film education
Production Studio supports planning, budgets, schedules, crew coordination, call sheets, documentation, casting workflows, submissions and asset management. The company is also developing machine learning assistance for repetitive production tasks.
Talent Marketplace helps actors and other creative professionals present their experience and work while connecting with filmmakers and production organizations. Film Institute OS supports student projects, scripts, milestones, faculty oversight, casting, crew coordination, jury evaluation and portfolios. Pixel Comet’s goal is to give students a clearer route from coursework and completed projects to professional opportunities.
Distribution and creator revenue
Watcher adds independent film distribution to the same ecosystem. Eligible projects can be offered through transaction models such as rentals and purchases where available. Under the non-exclusive model, creators retain ownership subject to their agreements. Participating creators can receive 70% of eligible platform revenue after applicable taxes, payment processing fees, infrastructure costs and contractual deductions.
Brand and technology collaboration
Pixel Comet is seeking commercial relationships with brands, equipment makers, software providers, institutions and production partners. Opportunities may include film sponsorships, creator campaigns, product placement, technology integrations, film school initiatives, filmmaking challenges, education programs, premieres and audience activations.
The company wants these programs to connect brands with relevant filmmaking work and create value for the creative community. A technology provider might introduce useful tools to production teams; an equipment partner might work with student films; or a brand might support a creator campaign or production.
