SPL Leads Audio, Video, and Lighting Reconstruction After Fire Destroys Parish School

MARINA DEL REY, CA — Sound Pressure Labs (SPL), dba Sound Power and Lighting, today announced the reestablishment of its Permanent Installation & Electrical Division as it spearheads the complete reconstruction of the audio, video, and lighting systems for St. Matthew’s Parish in Pacific Palisades, CA. The project comes after a devastating fire destroyed the parish school and damaged critical infrastructure throughout the campus.

Operating under California C-10 Contractor License #899345, SPL is overseeing the design-build and installation of a state-of-the-art worship and community space engineered for performance, reliability, and elegance.

Rebuilding with Precision and Purpose

To restore St. Matthew’s as a center for worship, education, and community gathering, SPL is implementing a comprehensive AVL integration featuring:

• Audio: A Q-SYS Core-based control and processing platform paired with a Renkus-Heinz digitally steerable DSP array for clear, even coverage throughout the sanctuary. L-Acoustics power amplification and loudspeaker drivers will deliver concert-grade fidelity for music ministry and spoken word.
• Video: Six Canon 4K PTZ cameras integrated for broadcast, streaming, and IMAG. A Barco 22,000-lumen laser projector paired with a 200″ projection screen will ensure every congregant has a clear view.
• Control & Power: A unified Q-SYS control system for one-touch operation of audio, video, lighting, and room presets. Exquisite, purpose-built power systems designed for long-term reliability and safety.
• Lighting: Architectural lighting design and installation to enhance the sacred space, balancing aesthetic elegance with functional illumination for worship and events.
