Tampa-Based Krewe of Europa Announces Initial 2027 International Parade and Carnival Schedule

“America’s Krewe” expands global presence with appearances across the United States, Europe, and Australia

TAMPA, Fla. — The Krewe of Europa, internationally recognized as “America’s Krewe,” has announced the initial release of its 2027 parade and carnival schedule, featuring appearances at major cultural celebrations throughout the United States, Europe, and, for the first time, Australia.

“Every year, our schedule continues to grow across North America and Europe—and now Australia,” said Karen Bachler, Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees. “Our members are honored to represent Tampa while building lasting friendships and celebrating the traditions that unite communities around the world.”

The Krewe of Europa participates in more than 11 parades and festivals annually. During 2026 alone, the organization has already appeared in seven parades across four countries and seven cities, further strengthening its reputation as the world’s first and only international parade krewe.

Founded in 2020, The Krewe of Europa is a Tampa-based philanthropic and parading organization dedicated to promoting cultural exchange, international friendship, and charitable initiatives supporting veterans. The organization is recognized as the first international parade krewe to hold voting membership in the Federation of European Carnival Cities.

Known as “America’s Krewe,” the organization serves as an international festival ambassador, providing members with opportunities to travel throughout North America and Europe while celebrating diverse cultures, traditions, and communities. The Krewe also welcomes visiting dignitaries and international guests during Tampa’s historic Gasparilla celebrations, fostering global relationships through cultural exchange.

  • Jan. 30, 2027 — Gasparilla Parade of Pirates — Tampa, Florida
  • Feb. 5–9, 2027 — Rijeka Carnival — Rijeka, Croatia
  • Feb. 13, 2027 — Knights of Sant’ Yago Illuminated Parade — Tampa, Florida
  • March 14, 2027 — St. Patrick’s Parade — Boston, Massachusetts
  • March 17, 2027 — St. Patrick’s Festival Tour — Galway and Craughwell, Ireland
  • June 8–13, 2027 — Samba Carnival — Helsinki, Finland
  • Oct. 27–Nov. 3, 2027 — Ghost in the Rocks Halloween Festival — Sydney, Australia

The Krewe of Europa’s 2027 parade season will also be featured in its upcoming documentary series, “Curiosity Abroad with the Krewe of Europa.” The series explores the history, culture, and traditions of international parades and carnivals while following the Krewe’s journey as America’s first international parade organization, bringing audiences behind the scenes of festivals around the world.

Additional 2027 appearances will be announced in the coming months, including five more events—three in Europe and two in the United States—further expanding the organization’s international presence.

The Krewe of Europa also continues to strengthen partnerships that promote cultural exchange and tourism for the Tampa Bay region. Among its newest collaborations is a partnership with Visit Tampa Bay, supporting efforts to showcase Tampa as an international destination for culture, festivals, and tourism.
