The Splash Boyz Call on Murrieta Volunteers and Community Partners to Empower Youth Through Basketball

The Splash Boyz, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to developing young athletes through competitive youth basketball, mentorship, and character building, is inviting Murrieta community members to get involved through volunteer service and charitable support.

Serving boys in elementary and middle school, The Splash Boyz provides young athletes with opportunities to grow both on and off the court by competing in AAU basketball tournaments throughout Murrieta and surrounding communities. Through structured coaching, mentorship, and teamwork, the program focuses on building discipline, confidence, leadership, and life skills that extend far beyond basketball.

“Everything we do is centered on giving young athletes the tools they need to succeed—not just in basketball, but in life,” said Hilda Mateiu, Assistant Manager of The Splash Boyz. “Whether someone volunteers their time, donates resources, or helps spread the word, every form of support truly makes a difference.”

Volunteer Opportunities with The Splash Boyz

The Splash Boyz offers a variety of volunteer opportunities for individuals passionate about youth development and sports, including:

Basketball Coaches and Assistant Coaches
Ideal for local high school and college athletes, former players, and experienced coaches, volunteers assist with practices, player development, and fostering teamwork and sportsmanship.

Fundraising Support
Volunteers are encouraged to assist with fundraising efforts that help offset tournament fees, travel costs, equipment purchases, healthy meals, and player scholarships.

Career Development Experience
Individuals interested in pursuing careers in coaching or sports leadership can gain hands-on experience and receive a certificate after one year of service with the organization.

Additional Ways to Support the Program

Community members who are unable to volunteer their time can still make a meaningful impact through donations and sponsorships. As a nonprofit organization, The Splash Boyz relies on community support to cover essential program costs, including tournament fees, travel expenses, uniforms, equipment, gym rentals, healthy meals, and scholarships for athletes facing financial barriers.

Donations of any size help ensure that all young athletes have access to a positive and affordable basketball experience. Supporters can also help by sharing fundraising initiatives, connecting The Splash Boyz with potential sponsors, or advocating for the organization within the community.

How to Get Involved

Those interested in volunteering can apply by completing the online form at
https://www.thesplashboyz.com/volunteer/ or by contacting The Splash Boyz directly at 951-290-8949.

Individuals and businesses interested in making monetary donations, sponsorships, or in-kind contributions can explore giving opportunities at https://www.thesplashboyz.com/donation/.
All contributions are tax-deductible, as The Splash Boyz is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
