Organic adoption grows as businesses confront AI-generated and manipulated financial documents entering high-value workflows.
WILMINGTON, Del. — TrueDoc, a document fraud detection company focused on manipulated and AI-generated files, announced the broader availability of its enterprise fraud-detection capabilities as the company approaches 3,000 registered users.
The expansion is aimed at lenders, insurers, fintech platforms, property operators, HR teams and other organizations that rely on bank statements, paystubs, tax forms, IDs, invoices and other documents to make high-value decisions.
Generative AI is changing the economics of document fraud. Instead of producing a visibly fake file, an attacker can start with legitimate evidence, alter only the fields that influence an outcome, correct the arithmetic, preserve the surrounding layout and submit the result through the same digital workflow used by genuine customers.
The threat is increasingly visible in federal fraud reporting. The FBI’s 2025 IC3 Annual Report recorded 22,364 complaints involving AI, associated with $893.3 million in adjusted losses, and warned that synthetic content is becoming easier to create and increasingly difficult to detect. FinCEN has also warned financial institutions about GenAI-enabled fraud schemes, including the use of altered or fraudulent identity documents to circumvent verification controls.
Illustrative workflow: the document is the input; the business decision is the impact.
| “The document is not the real target. The business decision behind it is. A manipulated bank statement matters because it can influence underwriting. A fake invoice matters because it can trigger payment. As organizations automate more decisions, documents increasingly become untrusted inputs into those systems,” Andrii Patiutka, Founder and CEO of TrueDoc |
TrueDoc’s platform is designed to evaluate multiple layers of evidence rather than rely on appearance alone. Its workflow analyzes visual anomalies, metadata, document structure, mathematical relationships, OCR consistency and indicators associated with synthetic or edited content. Results are returned as explainable fraud-risk findings so reviewers can understand why a document deserves additional scrutiny.
The company is extending enterprise access through its document fraud detection API and Business Workspace, supporting structured evidence, role-based review, audit workflows and automated integrations. TrueDoc uses a privacy-first processing model in which original files are deleted after analysis, while applicable redacted reports and fraud-signal data can be retained for review according to product settings.
TrueDoc says it has grown to nearly 3,000 registered users primarily through organic discovery and without paid marketing spend. The company serves individual and business users and is expanding its enterprise capabilities as document fraud becomes a growing concern across lending, insurance, property, employment and other document-heavy workflows.
| “We expect more hybrid manipulation, coordinated evidence packages and detector-aware fraud. The same AI that can help create a document can also check totals, rewrite explanations and generate another version. The future of document security is not a single ‘real or fake’ decision. It is evidence-based risk analysis before a document influences a high-value workflow,” Patiutka said |
TrueDoc is positioning document fraud detection as an infrastructure layer for automated business processes. Its API and workspace are designed to help organizations assess document risk before evidence reaches underwriting, payments, claims, onboarding or AI-assisted decision systems.
