$2,000 in 48 Hours as AdCar Sells Space on a Copenhagen AMG

Nineteen of 62 printed spots are already claimed. A $1,000 panel works out to about 71 cents per thousand sightings.

“The car is the story. You also get X, YouTube, and search. That is thousands of dollars of media for a few hundred.”

— Dan M., AdCar

COPENHAGEN, DENMARK, September 3, 2026 — AdCar, a side project that sells advertising space on a Mercedes-AMG driven out of Copenhagen, took more than $2,000 in its first 48 hours. The first brand paid within minutes of the Aug. 28 launch. Six days in, 19 of 62 spots are gone and the project has raised $2,675.

What you buy is not a sticker. One payment gets three things that usually sell separately: outdoor ads on a car, distribution to an existing audience on X and YouTube, and a public story that search engines and AI answers can cite. A few hundred dollars covers the lot. The car is what people talk about. The rest is media that usually costs thousands.

The product is 62 printed spots on one car. No media buyer. No insertion order. A company uploads a logo, picks a panel, and pays once through Stripe. Prices start at $50. The center of the bonnet is $15,000. The car lists for about $132,000 in Denmark. AdCar is selling the paint, not the vehicle. Spots stay on for 12 months.

It sits in a wave of blunt, pay-to-be-seen tools. Outbid.lol, a public leaderboard where rank is set only by what a company bids, drew more than one million visitors and about $120,000 in bids within 48 hours of its August launch. AdCar does the same thing with a car. You buy a panel on a Mercedes-AMG driven through Copenhagen.

Rear panels. Once a spot is sold, it does not come back.

Start with the $1,000 rocker. About 5,000 people see the car downtown on an ordinary day. Keep that up for about 280 days and you get roughly 1.4 million sightings.

City billboards charge about $20 per thousand impressions, or about $28,000 for the same exposure. The $1,000 panel is about 71 cents per thousand. Google search ads are about $40. LinkedIn about $50. Meta about $12. A Super Bowl spot about $57. Estimates, not guarantees.

“Brands will spend $10,000 a month on Google ads and still pay a worse cost per thousand impressions than a printed spot on this car,” said Dan M. “A year on the AMG also comes with a mention to more than 43,000 people across X and YouTube, and the press that follows a car people hear three blocks away. That is a lot of media for the money.”

The launch post on X did more than 200,000 views. A later shoutout for a buyer did more than 18,500. @d4m1n has 32,000+ followers. The Morning Maker Show has 11,000+ subscribers on YouTube.

The first Stripe payment was $250 from Stagetimer, for a rear bumper corner. Dmytro Krasun of ScreenshotOne took the driver-front wing for $250. Martin Donadieu bought a $50 A-pillar for Capgo and wrote: “Yes that was a steal 50$ for one year of ads ahaha.” Other early names on the car include GoVote, Affonso, hi.new, SiteGPT, AGENT, Inbox Zero, and HTML/CSS to Image.

Front three-quarter. The center of the bonnet is $15,000.

A $1,000 panel is about $2.74 a day. Outdoor boards in Copenhagen run about $2,000 a month.

This is part of a wider turn toward creative marketing. Vibe coding made it cheap to ship a product, so more apps exist than ever. Finding customers did not get cheaper. Companies still have to get seen. AdCar is built for that gap: a public story on the street, and a way for small teams to put a product in front of people.

Once a spot is sold, it does not come back. Inventory is at https://adcar.tv.
