Globe Chaser Rebuilds Its Scavenger Hunt App and Adds Agency Cloud

The updated iOS and Android app connects location-based adventure creation with a professional workspace for planning, running and reviewing multi-team events.

Globe Chaser has released a rebuilt version of its mobile app and introduced Globe Chaser Agency Cloud, a web-based workspace for organizations that plan and operate live team events. The two products use the same underlying route, quest and event technology, but serve different parts of the experience: participants play through the app, while organizers prepare and monitor events from Agency Cloud.

Available for iOS and Android, the Globe Chaser app turns cities, parks, campuses and neighborhoods into playable routes with GPS checkpoints, questions, photo missions and team scoring. A family can build a birthday scavenger hunt, a traveler can follow an interactive city tour, a local creator can publish a route, and an event agency can coordinate several competing teams without moving to a separate participant platform.

A rebuilt app for creating and playing outdoors

The new app broadens Globe Chaser beyond its original role as a free scavenger hunt app. Creators choose an occasion, audience, starting point and route structure, then build the experience manually or ask Ava, Globe Chaser’s AI co-creator, for assistance. Ava can propose a route, position checkpoints, draft multilingual missions, generate supporting images and assess factors such as distance, elevation and difficulty. Each result remains editable.

Adventures can combine riddles, multiple-choice questions, open-answer tasks, photo challenges and informational stops. Players follow the map to physical locations, complete the assigned work and collect points. Guidance, compass, and 2D or 3D map modes support walking and cycling routes while keeping the focus on exploration rather than turn-by-turn navigation.

The mapping foundation uses MapLibre and OpenStreetMap data, supported by Globe Chaser’s own map and routing infrastructure. This gives the platform control over route behavior, checkpoint placement and arrival detection, all of which matter when the objective is to reach and interact with a precise real-world location.

The community can publish adventures and earn Globe Coins

Globe Chaser also gives players a path to become creators. Users can submit adventures for publication, develop a creator profile, earn experience points and improve their standing in the community. When another player unlocks an approved adventure, its creator can receive Globe Coins.

The app is free to download and explore, and every user can create one manual adventure at no cost. Free community content is available, while Globe Coins can be used for additional adventures and optional creation features. A public roadmap lets users submit ideas, vote on proposed features and follow their progress into development.

Agency Cloud covers the work around a live event

Agency Cloud is intended for event agencies, facilitators, coaches, hospitality businesses and companies that deliver group experiences. Organizers can manage clients, reuse quest libraries and branding, prepare several routes for the same event, invite participants, assign teams and adapt an established format for another city or audience.

During an event, the Game Control Center shows team locations, connected devices, completed checkpoints, progress and scores. Event managers can follow teams on a live map and handle exceptions from the same system used to prepare the experience. Afterward, the platform keeps results and reporting connected to the event record.

“I built Globe Chaser to make real-world adventures easier to create and more reliable to run, from a family scavenger hunt to a live agency event with several teams.” Philipp Mueller, Founder, Lead Developer and Designer, Globe Chaser

Agency Cloud includes a seven-day trial without a credit card. Organizations can inspect the workspace and use the mobile app to test individual adventures during the trial. A complete event with participants requires an event pass or subscription. Professional outdoor team-building experiences start at US$69 per adventure and include AI power-ups.

International availability

Globe Chaser is available in English, German and Spanish on iOS and Android. The app, community platform and Agency Cloud can be used in the United States, Canada and other international markets.
