New Hydrogen Fusion Energy Co., Ltd. exhibited a prototype fuelled by light hydrogen, with live demonstrations, at the Shin Aichi Creative R&D Exhibition.
The prototype is based on the 4H/TSC Theory proposed by Akito Takahashi, Professor Emeritus at Osaka University and Chief Technical Advisor to New Hydrogen Fusion Energy Co., Ltd. According to the company, the system harnesses heat generated through a light hydrogen fusion reaction and was demonstrated to visitors during the exhibition, held on June 4–5, 2026. The company presented its approach to fusion heating during the technical session, alongside a live demonstration of the prototype.
Exhibition and Presentation Highlights

We generate new energy without using fossil fuel.
Visitors had the opportunity to experience the fusion heater firsthand by touching the unit and feeling the heat it generated.
According to the company, no radiation was detected from the heater, allowing it to be operated in a wide range of environments.

Prototype Compact Fusion Heater Specifications
・Dimensions: 220 mm diameter × 600 mm height
・Power Output: 500 W (2.5 times the 200 W heater input)
Output can be adjusted by changing the amount of heat-generating material and the heater input.
・Radiation: No radiation detected ・Estimated Energy Cost: Approximately one-tenth that of a kerosene heater, and one-thirtieth that of an electric heater, which makes it an energy-efficient heater with significantly lower estimated operating costs than conventional heating systems.
Commercialisation of the prototype is currently under consideration.
Future Development
As a fusion startup, New Hydrogen Fusion Energy Co., Ltd. plans to scale up the technology for the development of larger systems, including high-capacity water heaters and combined heat and power (CHP) systems.
The company states that it will continue accelerating research and development aimed at helping address global warming through next-generation fusion energy technologies.
