The Napa Valley Museum of Art & Culture in St. Helena has announced an extension of The Wyeths: Three Generations | Works from the Bank of America Collection, giving visitors additional time to experience one of the museum’s most significant exhibitions of the year.
Originally scheduled to close earlier in September, the exhibition will now remain on view through Sunday, September 27, 2026.
Featuring 75 paintings, drawings and mixed-media works, the exhibition explores the creative legacy of one of America’s best-known artistic families. The presentation spans three generations of Wyeth artists, including N.C. Wyeth, Andrew Wyeth and Jamie Wyeth, along with works by Henriette Wyeth and Peter Hurd.
The exhibition offers a broad look at the evolution of the Wyeth family’s work, from N.C. Wyeth’s celebrated illustrations to Andrew Wyeth’s distinctive realism and Jamie Wyeth’s deeply personal depictions of people, animals and landscapes.
The Napa presentation marks the first time the collection has been exhibited in California.
The works are on loan through Bank of America’s Art in Our Communities® program, an initiative that enables museums and nonprofit galleries to present exhibitions drawn from the Bank of America art collection. The program was created to expand public access to significant works of art and support cultural institutions across the country.
For the Napa Valley Museum of Art & Culture, the exhibition has also helped reinforce a broader shift in how visitors experience the region.
Long known primarily for its wineries and culinary scene, Napa Valley has increasingly developed a cultural identity built around art, design, history and live programming. The MAC, which opened in St. Helena in 2025, has become part of that growing cultural landscape.
The museum’s location also places the exhibition within easy reach of the restaurants, tasting rooms and hospitality destinations that define St. Helena, making it possible for visitors to combine the Wyeth exhibition with a broader day in Napa Valley.
Adjacent to The MAC is Under-Study, the culinary marketplace and counter-service café from the Michelin-starred team behind PRESS Restaurant. The proximity of the two venues creates a natural connection between visual art and Napa Valley’s culinary culture.
The extension gives both local residents and visitors an additional opportunity to see the Wyeth works before the exhibition closes and moves on from California.
The Wyeths: Three Generations | Works from the Bank of America Collection is now on view through September 27, 2026, at the Napa Valley Museum of Art & Culture, 607 St. Helena Highway in St. Helena.
The museum is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
