13 education technology providers committed to advancing equitable student-centered learning selected for this year’s cohort.

CHICAGO, IL – Today, the national nonprofit organization LEAP Innovations recognizes the 13 members accepted into the 2026-2027 LEAP Innovations EdTech Design Collective. Unique to the field, the collective represents edtech solutions that are committed to equitable, student-centered learning and ongoing product development grounded in the needs of schools, educators, and learners.

“Our EdTech Design Collective provides a bridge connecting research, practice, and educational technology, and keeps everyone in this triad focused on LEAP’s mission of providing young people with the learning they need and deserve to be successful. We hear from members and from our K-12 partners that there’s nothing like the Collective anywhere else.” –Scott Frauenheim, CEO, LEAP Innovations

To be accepted, these educational technologies were evaluated against LEAP’s standards of product maturity and reach, privacy and data security, evidence of learning impact, implementation quality, and commitment to personalized learning, engagement and co-design. Because the mission and vision of each member was central to the process, each edtech product also was assessed for alignment to the LEAP Learning FrameworkTM and LEAP Convergence FrameworkTM to identify both strengths and priorities for development. LEAP Innovations President Jessica Paulsen explained, “Our alignment process uses research on learning and best practices to detail how each product supports student ownership and agency, adapts to individual learner needs, connects to real-world contexts, and integrates responsibly within a district’s digital ecosystem.”

Now in its third year, the EdTech Design Collective recognizes the potential of its members to contribute to educators’ toolbelts to advance teaching and learning in our nation’s districts and schools.

“The LEAP team has been fantastic in connecting our team with schools and educators who are curious about how AI can support teaching and learning. They’ve created meaningful opportunities for us to learn directly from classrooms and build with real educator input.” –Jon Laven, Co-Founder, Snorkl

Membership provides opportunities to access LEAP tools, gain valuable feedback, receive coaching, connect with schools and districts across the country seeking student-centered solutions, and be considered for integration into LEAP’s programming with schools.

“LEAP partner districts already look to research when they make instructional decisions. What’s harder to find is the layer that translates that research into what a teacher does on a Monday morning. With LEAP, we’re building it: an educator-led, mastery-based approach, grounded in the science of learning, for educators around the world.” –Aida Conroy, Chief Success Officer, Modern Classrooms Project

By providing an educator and student feedback loops into edtech design cycles, LEAP is helping to create an edtech ecosystem that is informed by and responsive to the needs, goals, and realities of our nation’s educators and classrooms. Schools and districts working to transform the learning experience to improve student outcomes, then, have access to member tools and programming from LEAP that support strong implementation, scaling, and lasting impact of equitable student-centered learning.
