The fine-art publication explores Bitcoin, freedom, and sovereignty through traditional art forms, with three limited collector editions.
Timechain Art Magazine, formerly known as Bitcoin Art Magazine, has opened pre-sales for Edition One, a fine-art publication featuring 30 international artists across 154 pages, whose work explores Bitcoin and its connections to freedom, individual sovereignty, privacy, and technology.
The first issue published under the Timechain name brings together established and emerging artists working in traditional art forms, including painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, and mixed media. Approximately 70 pages are dedicated to full-page artwork reproductions, complemented by artist statements, interviews, essays, and editorial features.
Featured artists include cryptograffiti, FractalEncrypt, MADEX, Trevor Jones, Ksenia Buridanova, Pepelangelo, Proof of Paint, The Great Print, Sweedgraffixx, Maxis Club, Kenneth Burris, ZETRA, and Asanoha.
Hal Finney Freedom Prize Sculpture Featured on Cover
The cover features a sculpture created by Bitcoin artist cryptograffiti for the Human Rights Foundation's Finney Freedom Prize.
Named in honor of Hal Finney, a pioneering software developer, cryptographer, privacy advocate, and early Bitcoin contributor, the prize recognizes individuals whose contributions have advanced Bitcoin and human rights.

Edition One also includes a foreword by Lawrence Lepard, Bitcoin advocate, founder of Equity Management Associates, and author of The Big Print.
“The work contained herein is brilliant and unique. If you enjoy art and are a Bitcoiner, I believe that you will find it to be exceptional,” Lepard said of the publication.
A New Name and an Expanding Editorial Vision
The transition from Bitcoin Art Magazine to Timechain Art Magazine reflects a broader editorial direction while maintaining Bitcoin as the publication's foundation.
The term "timechain" has roots in Bitcoin's early technical vocabulary and reflects the magazine's interest in exploring the wider cultural themes associated with decentralized technology, monetary history, and individual freedom.
“Bitcoin remains the foundation of what we do,” said Asanoha, Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Timechain Art Magazine. “But the art has always pointed toward larger questions about freedom, sovereignty, privacy, monetary history and technology. Timechain gives us room to follow these ideas as the culture develops.”
Edition One follows the Genesis Edition, released in December 2025, which featured 36 artists and established the magazine's approach to preserving Bitcoin-related artwork alongside the stories and historical context surrounding its creation.
The Genesis Edition also introduced several limited collector versions, including a Patron's Edition restricted to 21 copies, which sold out within a month of release.

Four Editions Available, Including Limited Collector Versions
Edition One is designed as an 8.5-by-11-inch fine-art journal using premium paper and cover stock selected for detailed artwork reproduction.
It is available in four formats: the Open Edition softcover magazine, a Foil Cover Edition limited to 200 copies, a Hardcover Edition limited to 100 copies, and a Patron's Edition limited to 21 copies, each offering a distinctive format and collector presentation.
Documenting an Emerging Artistic Movement
Beyond its print publications, Timechain Art Magazine maintains online editorial coverage and a curated Bitcoin artist directory featuring more than 80 artists.
Founded by Asanoha, the independent publication aims to document and preserve the artistic movement developing around Bitcoin and related ideas, establishing a lasting record of its creative expression through physical artwork and editorial archives.
