Adventurer, entrepreneur, and author Timofei Sheludiakov recently launched his book, Pure Nerve: The Noovitalist Manifesto, to share his views and philosophical framework for a life centered on creation, deep thinking, and building something real.
DUBAI, UAE: Timofei Sheludiakov, author and founder of the open educational platform Stoa, announced the release of his book, Pure Nerve: The Noovitalist Manifesto. The book explores how independent thought, curiosity, and understanding can coexist with full engagement in life through creation, experience, relationships, and action, with freedom and responsibility as central elements of this outlook.
“The system I unfold from here on I call noovitalism. The name is built from two roots: νοῦς, mind, and vita, life. A reasoning life directed toward creation,” Sheludiakov writes in the book.
Pure Nerve: The Noovitalist Manifesto presents noovitalism, Sheludiakov’s philosophy centered on the values of intellect and vitality. It brings reason and vitality together in a life of action, creation, freedom, and responsibility. This way of thinking is intended for those who want more from life intellectually, materially, and personally.
“Energy gives the impulse, but it is intellect that gives it form. The person who builds acts in concert with the very nature of life, using their mind as the chief instrument of this expansion,” he writes.
The book explores how ideas become action and how action shapes character. Sheludiakov examines freedom through capability and personal sovereignty, and how ambition can find direction without losing curiosity, love, adventure, or style. He also considers what it means to create something real, whether knowledge, ideas, businesses, or a life of one’s own design.
Drawing on philosophy and firsthand entrepreneurial experience, Sheludiakov examines what happens when ideas meet reality: how freedom is built, when to persist and when to walk away, and how ambition can coexist with responsibility, love, and a full life.
At the center of noovitalism is controlled fire: creative energy given form through vision, judgment, and discipline. The book moves through creation, risk, sovereignty, the noosphere, aesthetics, love, and modern heroism, concluding with a practical framework for putting its ideas into action.
“Responsibility does not deprive you of freedom. Responsibility is the form in which freedom becomes real. Only when you take upon yourself the consequences of your choice does the choice become yours,” Sheludiakov writes.
Pure Nerve brings these themes together into a philosophy of creation that connects choices about action and what to build with responsibility for their consequences. While the book draws on entrepreneurship, its questions extend to anyone working to create something of their own and anyone who recognizes the distance between an idea and action.
“Do not be afraid to fail, and do not let one business define you,” Sheludiakov said in a Founder Reports interview.
Timofei Sheludiakov is an author, independent philosopher, entrepreneur, investor, and adventurer based in Dubai. For Sheludiakov, the adventure is never finished. There is always another question to explore, another idea to develop, and something new to build.
