The stage at FinovateFall has always been a showcase for the latest in fintech innovation, and this year Tradesk Securities used the platform to introduce Prism AI, its new artificial intelligence tool designed to make market insights more accessible for everyday investors.
Prism AI is built directly into the Tradesk mobile investing platform. Instead of forcing investors to parse dense charts or flip between multiple research sources, the feature enables users to ask questions about stocks, ETFs, options, and broader market activity in plain English. Prism then delivers responses that combine historical context, explanations of common strategies, and real-time analysis.
The objective is straightforward: take information that once required expensive terminals and professional expertise and reframe it in a way that’s useful to a broader range of investors.
Clarity Over Complexity
The investing world has never lacked data. For many individuals, the real barrier is translating that data into meaning. Prism addresses that gap by using AI to act as an interpreter between raw market information and the questions investors actually ask.
Eric Chu, CEO of Tradesk Securities, described the motivation behind Prism as a continuation of the firm’s central mission. “For years, the industry has treated clarity like a luxury product,” he said. “With Prism, we’re making that clarity available to everyone on our platform. Whether you’re just starting out or have years of experience, it’s about getting straight answers in a way that supports better decision-making.”
Importantly, Prism does not provide personalized investment advice or predictive recommendations. Instead, it functions as an educational and contextual resource, designed to help users better understand the information available to them.
Integration Across the Platform
Prism is not a standalone app , it’s integrated directly into Tradesk’s broader ecosystem. The company’s platform already offers commission-free trading in stocks, ETFs, and options, along with tools like insider trade tracking, fractional shares, recurring investments, curated ETF lists, a powerful stock screener, and real-time market news.
By placing Prism within that environment, Tradesk allows users to move seamlessly from research to action. An investor might ask Prism to explain a market trend, then use the screener to identify potential securities, and finally place a trade all within the same application. The emphasis is on reducing friction between learning, analysis, and execution.
The unveiling took place live on stage at FinovateFall, one of the fintech industry’s most anticipated annual events. Known for showcasing live demonstrations rather than slide decks, the conference challenges participants to prove their innovation in front of a discerning audience.
“The energy in the room was incredible,” Chu noted after the presentation. “Seeing people react in real time confirmed that there’s a real appetite for making complex markets more approachable.”
Greg Palmer, VP and Host of Finovate, highlighted the significance of Tradesk’s launch within the conference lineup. “Finovate is about spotlighting solutions that push the industry forward,” he said. “Prism stood out because it doesn’t just add another layer of complexity. It makes tools clearer, smarter, and more accessible, exactly what this industry needs.”
For decades, professional traders and institutional investors have had access to sophisticated platforms costing thousands of dollars per year. These systems combine analytics, historical data, and strategy modeling in ways that give professionals a significant informational advantage.
Individual investors, by contrast, have often relied on a patchwork of news sites, forums, and simplified apps. That gap has fueled both confusion and risk. By embedding Prism into its platform, Tradesk is seeking to narrow that divide, not by replicating professional terminals, but by rethinking what clarity looks like for individual investors.
In practice, that might mean an investor asking Prism, “How do covered calls work?” and receiving a step-by-step explanation. Or it could involve exploring historical data on a particular ETF to better understand how it has behaved in different market environments. These are not guarantees of future results, but they are valuable tools for learning, context, and informed participation.
Positioning in a Crowded Market
The trading-app space has grown competitive, with multiple platforms vying for user attention through zero-commission trades, social features, or gamified interfaces. Tradesk has taken a different path by emphasizing research and education as core differentiators.
With features such as curated ETF lists, sector discovery tools, and in-depth analytics, the platform is designed to give investors not just execution capability but also context. Prism strengthens that positioning by turning what can feel like overwhelming data into explanations investors can actually use.
“Prism is about leveling the playing field,” said Medhat Yacoub, Marketing Director at Tradesk. “We’ve built a way for investors to engage with the markets on their own terms — no jargon, no gatekeeping. It’s about giving people clarity at the exact moment they need it, so they feel informed and confident as they navigate their financial journey.”
The Bigger Picture
Prism’s debut highlights a larger trend across financial technology: the use of artificial intelligence not to replace advisors or promise quick gains, but to translate complex data into practical knowledge. As AI continues to evolve, tools like Prism represent one possible future for retail investing, one where clarity, accessibility, and education stand at the forefront.
Tradesk is positioning itself as part of that movement. By embedding AI directly into a platform that already spans trading, research, and analytics, the company is betting that everyday investors will value simplicity and integration as much as cost and speed.
For the users who adopt Prism, the experience may feel less like staring at a screen of tickers and more like having a conversation one that can cut through noise, answer questions, and provide context exactly when it’s needed.
