The kid-friendly Halloween project created by twin brothers David Vincent Dorn and Russell J. Dorn has returned with a rebuilt website, new music and videos, and more than a decade of monster-filled history.
Felipe Femur & Friends is back.
Originally launched online around 2015, the independently created children’s property has returned in 2026 with a completely rebuilt FelipeFemur.com that brings its characters, books, comics, games, videos, music, crafts, activities, and Halloween resources together in one place.
At the center of the project is Felipe Femur, a friendly skeleton who lives in the unusual town of Toonstone. Instead of relying on traditional scary-monster stereotypes, the world is populated by characters whose personalities tend to turn those expectations upside down.
Felipe is joined by characters including Gummy the toothless werewolf, Runny the not-so-wicked witch, Sunny the sun-loving vampire, and a growing cast of unusual monsters.
Twin brothers David Vincent Dorn and Russell J. Dorn created the project together, combining David’s visual art and character design with Russell’s writing and storytelling.
Over the years, Felipe Femur & Friends expanded well beyond its original website.
The project has included illustrated children’s books, interactive stories, browser games, Halloween recipes, crafts, coloring pages, animated videos, and a long-running webcomic. The Felipe Femur & Halloween Friends comic eventually grew to 79 episodes on WEBTOON Canvas, while several of the project’s older games remain available online today.
After years of limited activity, the brothers decided to bring the world back rather than leave the characters as an abandoned internet project.
The 2026 version of FelipeFemur.com was rebuilt as a central home for both the original material and new projects.
Visitors can now move between the project’s books, games, comics, monster characters, crafts, coloring pages, Halloween guides, videos, and music without having to search through years of scattered websites and platforms.
A large part of the relaunch has also focused on new video and music content.
The Felipe Femur & Friends YouTube channel has returned after a long hiatus with new monster songs, Halloween videos, Shorts, cartoons, and other family-friendly content.
One of the newest additions to the universe is LOCHNESS, a larger-than-life Loch Ness monster pop star featured in a collection of K-pop-inspired Halloween songs for kids. Other familiar Toonstone characters have also begun appearing in original songs and music videos.
The website’s expanded Halloween section includes free resources for families, including party games, riddles, trivia, crafts, recipes, movie guides, scavenger hunts, science activities, safety tips, and seasonal ideas.
For the creators, the relaunch is less about starting over than reconnecting all the pieces of something they had already spent years building.
“When we came back to Felipe, we realized there was a surprising amount of history scattered across the internet,” said David Dorn. “There were books, games, comics, videos, old articles, characters, and projects we had almost forgotten about. Rebuilding the site gave us a chance to bring all of that back together while also making new things.”
That history can still be seen across platforms including WEBTOON, itch.io, Amazon, Goodreads, and other sites where Felipe Femur projects have appeared over the years.
The rebuilt website now serves as the primary home for the property going forward.
With October approaching, the timing also gives Felipe Femur & Friends an opportunity to reconnect with families during the season that originally inspired much of the project.
The goal remains the same as it was when the characters first appeared online: make monsters spooky enough to feel like Halloween, but friendly, funny, and strange enough that kids want to spend time with them.
