SAN FRANCISCO — HockeyStack, Inc. has introduced Bourne, a platform for building and deploying AI labor. Bourne Studio lets builders create, host and sell agents, apps and automations for their customers. Bourne Solutions works with companies and partners to find work AI can take on and deploy it around the systems and teams already responsible for that work.
An AI model can read a document or draft a response, but a business process requires more: the right source record, rules for what the system may do, a person to approve exceptions and a way to complete the work in existing software. People who know a market often understand those details and see the same problems across many customers. Building the software around that knowledge has usually required a dedicated engineering team.
Bourne Studio is designed to make that work accessible to more builders. It gives them a place to develop AI agents and applications, test them on real tasks, publish them and manage the products they sell. A builder can focus on a customer’s work while Bourne provides the underlying platform to run the product.
Bourne Solutions takes a complementary route. Its team works with a company to follow a process from request to result, connect the relevant systems, and put a first deployment in front of the people who own the work. The team then uses what it learns to improve the shared platform, so the next builder does not have to solve the same technical problem from the beginning.

If they can turn what they know into products and sell them, AI can reach far more companies at a price those companies can afford.”
The HockeyStack team built Bourne after releasing five customer-facing AI products at HockeyStack—Odin, Nova, AI prospect research, AI company scoring and Revenue Agents—along with many internal tools. That work contributed to HockeyStack’s growth and profitability. It also showed the team how often AI deployments repeat the same engineering work around records, approvals and ongoing operation.
One of Bourne’s first domain solutions addresses the industrial OEM customer lifecycle, including bids, engineering handover and aftermarket service. Builders can use the same platform for work in other sectors.
Bourne plans to open a marketplace for AI labor after builders have created enough useful products in Studio for companies to find what they need. The planned marketplace would let businesses find, hire, manage and pay for products built by independent entrepreneurs. For now, Bourne is concentrating on growing that supply and reducing the cost of each new deployment.
