Demarc Telecom & Utility LLC continues municipal fiber network construction work in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts.
TYNGSBOROUGH, Massachusetts — Demarc Telecom & Utility LLC, a Massachusetts fiber optic and structured cabling contractor, has been awarded a $410,457.96 contract by Shrewsbury Electric & Cable Operations (SELCO) for its Phase 4 Fiber to the Premises (FTTP) Infrastructure Project, IFB16.
Awarded through competitive bidding, the contract continues Demarc’s involvement in the expansion of Shrewsbury’s municipal fiber network.

Municipal Fiber Construction Experience
Demarc has supported SELCO through several previous fiber infrastructure contracts. Its work has included aerial and underground fiber placement, fiber optic splicing and network testing.
Across previous SELCO projects, Demarc has contributed to approximately 800,000 feet of fiber construction, 230 splice enclosures and 10,000 recorded fiber test results. These quantities represent prior project experience and are separate from the newly awarded IFB16 contract.
