Q: Your new track, "America, Here We Come Again" arrives at a perfect time for feel-good anthems. What inspired the optimism and ambition behind this specific song?
MCCOYxEILEEN: This track is made to breathe life into your spirit. This is your get up and go get ‘em anthem. We want you to dance and feel the soul of the melody release through you. Each team member creatively impacts the musical creation process in the best way. We inspire and uplift one another and truly embrace the enthusiasm of the music. We thrive in a feel good, positive environment and that’s what the MXE team is all about.
Q: You collaborated with Grammy-winning producer Phil Larsen for this release. How did his background help shape the track's polished, radio-ready sound?
MCCOYxEILEEN: Phil Larsen has been a phenomenal addition to the team. His musical expertise and knowledge, famously known for winning the 46th Annual Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording with Kylie Minogue, really shined through in his production leadership. He gave helpful insights and positive encouragement throughout the entire process. He allowed us to shine individually and as a collective together. Larsen’s long standing and elite history in the music industry really propelled the longevity of this track and made another classic with us. We have many collaborative efforts with our world renowned production team, also, Austin Leeds, well know for being on Team AVICII (R.i.P.). Austin has taken the MXE sound too new heights and has made a long standing and impactful portfolio/catalog with MxE.
Q: The recurring lyric "Eyes closed, Arms up" serves as a powerful call to action. What do you want listeners to feel or do when they hear that mantra?
MCCOYxEILEEN: FREEDOM! POWER! STRENGTH! The time is now! We are here and that’s the most important part. Everybody should feel the thriving sensation of this music. It allows free flowing movement through out your body, mind and soul. This is energetic momentum and we want you all to experience and be apart of it.
Q: MCCOYxEILEEN represents a transatlantic collaboration between artists in New Jersey and Germany. How does bridging these distinct cultures influence your creative process?
MCCOYxEILEEN: Music is connectivity. We can have our differences and still share the commonality of the joy of music. Music is culture, music is bonding and music allows us to feel togetherness. We are all looking for love in unexpected places and MXE brings it to the forefront. Diana Ducassi (New Jersey) is the co-founder, lyrical expert, marketing and operational manager. We have worked with many artists that we are so very fond of. Our lead singer and incredible, musical songstress is Eileen ( Miami, FL) . She has been a pivotal part in making MXE come to life. MXE is inspired everywhere, all perspectives welcome and watch how we bring ideas to life.
Q: Following the massive success of "Play The Game Like L@DY GAGA," this new track recently hit No. 1 on the World Indie Music Charts. How do you plan to build on this momentum moving forward?
MCCOYxEILEEN: We continue to soar! We received THREE Grammy’26 nomination proposals, had a couple tracks played for multiple grammy board members and received a lot of positive feedback. There’s a lot to look forward too for the MCCOYxEILEEN team! Keep an eye out 😉
