Additional time allows for engineering, testing, and preparation for live world-record attempts
IMPERIAL VALLEY / EL CENTRO, CA, UNITED STATES – Record Breakers Co. announced today that its live world-record action sports festival, originally scheduled for Saturday, November 21, 2026, will move to Saturday, January 23, 2027.
The event will remain at Imperial Fairgrounds, 200 East 2nd Street, Imperial, California, serving El Centro and the surrounding Imperial Valley communities.
The move gives athletes, engineers, and production teams more time to complete the preparation and testing needed for the planned world-record attempts. Athlete and crew safety remains the priority, alongside delivering an unforgettable experience for fans.
The planned lineup includes a motorcycle world-record jump, a 250-foot-plus trophy-truck long-distance duel, a side-by-side UTV long-distance world-record attempt, elite BMX and skate in the NBD Invitational, drift, demolition derby, and a headline music finale.
Attempts of this scale require extensive coordination and preparation. Record Breakers leadership said its engineering and testing teams need more time to complete their work and meet the company’s safety standards before the event moves forward.
The additional weeks will allow for structural engineering, load and impact testing, ramp geometry verification, vehicle preparation, and full-speed rehearsals under controlled conditions. The decision was made in coordination with athletes, builders, and safety leads, with talent supporting the additional preparation time.
Fans are encouraged to save the new date. Existing tickets will be honored for January 23, 2027, with transfer and refund details provided directly to ticket holders. Anyone who booked travel for the original date is encouraged to review their airline and lodging policies.
The Imperial Fairgrounds event will continue to feature live world-record attempts measured and certified in front of the crowd. The date is moving, but the goal remains the same: bringing athletes and fans together for a memorable day of action sports and record-breaking moments.
