A formulation-first approach built around a 3:1:1 physiological lipid architecture
ThreeSkins is introducing a new approach to barrier skincare for consumers in India and the UAE, focusing on formulation architecture, climate conditions and transparent disclosure rather than conventional ingredient-led marketing.
The brand’s initial range is built around a ceramide-dominant 3:1:1 lipid architecture, designed around the relationship between ceramides, cholesterol and free fatty acids in the skin barrier. ThreeSkins says the approach is intended to address the practical demands placed on the skin by heat, humidity, aridity, prolonged air-conditioning and urban environmental exposure.

The launch includes two formulations. Barrière Profonde is formulated at 6.0% total barrier lipid density with a target pH of 5.0, while Barrière Légère is formulated at 4.0% total barrier lipid density with a target pH of 5.2. Both are positioned as fragrance-free, barrier-focused formulations.
Rather than presenting planned testing as completed clinical evidence, ThreeSkins is distinguishing its completed formulation development from validation work that remains underway or scheduled. The company has identified thermal stability testing and HRIPT as part of its validation programme, with TEWL bio-instrumental validation also planned.
This distinction is central to the brand’s formulation-first positioning. ThreeSkins says its objective is to provide consumers with clearer information about formulation structure, pH, lipid composition and fragrance status, allowing the product architecture to be understood beyond a list of headline ingredients.
The India and UAE launch is accompanied by a Founding Allocation limited to 1,000 serialized units across the two markets. According to the company, payment is requested only after applicable final quality-control approval, with the founding allocation priced at ₹4,999 in India and AED 270 in the UAE, including courier dispatch charges.
ThreeSkins describes the launch as the beginning of a longer validation and product-development programme rather than the conclusion of one. As additional testing and validation milestones are completed, the company intends to distinguish those results from formulation specifications and development-stage information.
