The Brazilian composer transforms humanity’s relationship with time into an immersive alternative indie experience where philosophy, mythology and musical architecture converge.
Some songs tell stories. Others capture emotions. On rare occasions, however, a compos

ition attempts something far more ambitious: to translate an invisible human experience into music itself.
With Auren, Brazilian composer, singer and multi-instrumentalist Wes Krux presents his most conceptually ambitious work to date. More than a new single, Auren is a philosophical exploration of one of humanity’s oldest and most universal conflicts: our inability to truly inhabit the present.
Rather than approaching anxiety as a clinical or emotional condition, the song investigates what may lie beneath it—the constant tension between memory and expectation. Human beings revisit the past searching for answers that no longer exist while projecting themselves toward futures that have yet to happen. In doing so, the present quietly slips away.
This reflection became the creative foundation of Auren.
The first ideas emerged at the piano, where melody preceded language. As the composition evolved, it expanded beyond songwriting into an original symbolic universe where philosophy, mythology and music became inseparable.
The title itself reflects this duality. Auren combines Aurora, representing beginnings, awakening and the promise of the future, with End, symbolizing memory, closure and everything that has already passed. Between these two opposing realities stands Khronos, the primordial personification of time in Greek mythology.
Unlike the modern understanding of time measured by clocks, Khronos represents time as an inexorable cosmic force, the invisible current that governs every life from birth to its inevitable conclusion. He is neither benevolent nor cruel; he simply moves forward, indifferent to desire, regret or expectation. Within Auren, Khronos becomes less a mythological figure than a metaphor for the silent force every human being confronts every day.
For Wes Krux, mythology is not used as ornamentation, but as philosophical language. Auren proposes that much of modern anxiety emerges from humanity’s resistance to the natural flow of time itself. We mourn what can no longer return and fear what has not yet arrived, forgetting that the only place where life truly unfolds is the present moment.
This concept extends beyond the lyrics into the very architecture of the music.
Unlike compositions that merely describe emotional states, Auren incorporates its central idea directly into its musical structure. Written around the fluid relationship between 3/4 and 12/8, the song creates an almost uninterrupted sensation of movement. These meters generate a circular, flowing pulse that continually propels the listener forward, producing an emotional impression remarkably similar to the psychological acceleration experienced by an anxious mind.
Every rhythmic phrase seems to lean toward the next before completely settling, creating an underlying tension that rarely resolves. The music itself appears unable to remain still, mirroring the constant internal momentum of thoughts moving between yesterday and tomorrow.
In Auren, rhythm becomes narrative.
Time is no longer simply the subject of the composition.
Time becomes the composition itself.
This compositional philosophy reflects Wes Krux’s broader artistic identity. Rather than treating songwriting as the combination of lyrics and melody alone, he approaches every piece as a complete conceptual experience in which harmony, rhythm, dynamics and musical form serve a common narrative purpose. Each artistic decision is designed not only to be heard, but to reinforce the emotional and philosophical ideas at the heart of the work.
Drawing from alternative indie music while embracing cinematic textures and emotionally driven arrangements, Wes Krux has developed a distinctive artistic language where introspection meets musical ambition. His work consistently explores identity, vulnerability, memory and the invisible forces that shape human consciousness, inviting listeners into experiences that extend far beyond conventional songwriting.
As an independent Brazilian artist, he represents a growing generation of musicians whose creative vision is no longer limited by geography. Through carefully crafted productions and authentic storytelling, his music seeks to connect with audiences across cultures by exploring experiences that belong to everyone, regardless of language.
With Auren, Wes Krux offers more than a single.
He offers an invitation.
An invitation to pause.
To recognize the invisible force that silently governs every human life.
To question why we spend so much of our existence imprisoned by what has already happened or consumed by what has yet to come.
And perhaps, if only for the duration of one song, to experience the extraordinary rarity of the only place where life has ever truly existed: now.
