Phos AI Labs team members completed the program this month, putting the firm among a small number of AI consulting firms serving mid-market companies with certified staff on the model layer their clients already run on.
MIAMI, FL. — Most AI consulting firms describe their expertise in adjectives: deep, proven, unmatched. This month, Phos AI Labs is describing its expertise in a credential instead. Multiple members of the firm’s team completed the Claude Certified Architect Foundations program in June, a certification still new enough that most AI consulting firms serving mid-market companies ($5 million to $50 million in annual revenue) don’t yet have anyone on staff who holds it.
The credential is new, which is part of the point. Phos AI Labs’ work with Claude takes different forms depending on the client: for some, that means deploying Claude for Teams; for others, it means building custom AI solutions on Anthropic’s APIs. Either way, Claude is usually the model clients already trust before they call the firm. A credentialed team changes what that work can promise: the difference between a consultant who can use a model well and one who has been tested on the architecture underneath it, the permissions, the data connections and the guardrails, before a client’s whole company runs on it.
The certification lands alongside the firm’s broader track record. The team has run more than 450 engagements across manufacturing, aviation, distribution, professional services, healthcare and creative industries, including work for Zapier, Coca-Cola, Medtronic and American Express.
Anthropic has since expanded the certification into a four-level track, added a nontechnical Associate certification for delivery and account roles, and extended certification validity from six months to twelve. Phos AI Labs said its team is already preparing for Architect Profession
