About Stanley E. James II
Stanley E. James II is from the North Side of Long Beach, California, former member of a Crip Organization who went by the name “BabyFace.” Stanley has completely transitioned his life from serving time in and out of jail throughout his entire teens .James decided to leave the drug game and solely commit to writing fictional novels professionally, using his drug money to self-fund his craft and invest in learning the business
Founded independently in 2020 using inherited money, Stanley launched GangTales Publications with a vision of changing the
publishing landscape from the ground up. His writings have been influenced deeply by Tupac Shakur, Donald Goines, Paul Laurence Dunbar, James Patterson, Bunchy Carter, Terry Wroten, Jaquavis Coleman, Shannon Holmes, Kwan Foye, Kwame Teague, Shakespeare and Silk White. He released his second novel “True 2 the Streets” with Keisha Williams in August 2018, selling over twenty-five thousand books worldwide.
