New Digbi RxFund™ card turns GLP-1 spending into a fixed monthly contribution, paired with precision biology care and fees at risk
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. – Digbi Health, a precision biology company for cardiometabolic and digestive health, has expanded its GLP-1 Compass™ program with Digbi RxFund™, an employer-funded digital card that turns GLP-1 spending into a fixed monthly contribution. Employers decide how they fund GLP-1 medications, and Digbi pairs every choice with physician oversight and personalized care.
GLP-1 medications are one of the fastest-growing costs in employer health plans, and many people who start them struggle with side effects or stop and restart treatment. As employers finalize 2027 benefits, many are deciding whether to keep, limit, or restructure GLP-1 coverage.
“Employers shouldn’t have to choose between an unpredictable GLP-1 bill and leaving their people without support,” said Ranjan Sinha, Founder and CEO of Digbi Health. “Digbi RxFund gives finance teams a number they can plan around. GLP-1 Compass makes sure the medication works for the people who take it, and helps many others reach their health goals without it.”
Three ways to fund GLP-1s, one clinical program
- Fixed monthly subsidy. The employer sets a monthly amount per member toward direct-to-consumer GLP-1 prices, paid through the Digbi RxFund card. Each employer decides whether the subsidy connects to participation in Digbi’s care program.
- Member self-pay. Members can buy GLP-1s at direct-to-consumer cash prices with physician oversight and Digbi care. These purchases are not covered by the health plan unless the employer subsidizes them.
- Pharmacy benefit plus Digbi. Employers that keep GLP-1s on their formulary add Digbi’s clinical oversight and precision nutrition. They can also require participation in Digbi before a GLP-1 prescription is approved.
Under every model, prescribing follows FDA-approved labeling, and a licensed physician reviews each member’s medical history before any prescription.
Care before, during, and after medication
- Before: personalized metabolic care helps members improve weight and blood sugar, often before medication is needed.
- During: genetic, gut microbiome, and glucose insights help clinicians personalize care and spot members who may not respond well.
- Side effects: precision nutrition helps members manage GI side effects and protect muscle mass.
- After: addressing glucose response, gut health, and genetics helps members sustain results and avoid costly restart cycles.
Results
In company-reported results, members using a GLP-1 with Digbi lost an average of 20.1% of body weight, and members without a GLP-1 lost an average of 9.6%. Average A1C fell 1.61 points with a GLP-1 and 1.01 points without one. Peer-reviewed research published in January 2026, based on actuarial claims analysis, found a return of up to 9 times for employers. Digbi puts 100% of its fees at risk against claims outcomes for its cardiometabolic program.
