Malaysian filmmaker and visual content creator expands his digital presence through short-form visual storytelling.
Malaysian filmmaker and visual content creator Muhammad Nur Fikri Bin Kamaludin, known online as xngkuuu, has surpassed more than 5.4 million views on TikTok, highlighting the growing reach of visual storytelling and cinematic content on social media.
According to the creator’s TikTok analytics, three of his recent videos collectively generated more than 5.4 million views, alongside significant levels of audience engagement. The performance reflects how short-form video can provide filmmakers and visual creators with an avenue to experiment with storytelling, visual composition and creative concepts while reaching audiences beyond traditional film platforms.
Fikri’s background in film and video production has influenced his approach to creating digital content. He holds a Diploma in Film and Video from Akademi Seni Budaya dan Warisan Kebangsaan (ASWARA) and has developed experience across various areas of visual production, including cinematography, camera work, video editing and production.
Among his filmmaking experiences, Fikri contributed as an assistant camera on “Dengar Bang$@*!”, a short film produced by the BikinStory team. The film was selected as one of the finalists of the BMW Shorties, marking one of the notable milestones in his early filmmaking experience.
More recently, “Dengar Bang$@*!” was selected as an official finalist and shortlisted entry in the Film category of Short+Sweet Malaysia 2026. The film was subsequently screened publicly at The Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (klpac) in September 2026, adding another milestone to its festival journey.
The experience of working on film projects such as “Dengar Bang$@*!” has contributed to Fikri’s continued development in visual storytelling and production. His work reflects an interest in combining filmmaking techniques with contemporary digital content formats.
Beyond filmmaking, Fikri is also associated with Elaris Creative Works, a creative venture focused on photography, videography and visual content production. His photography services operate under FIMA Studio, where he continues to work on visual projects for individuals, events and creative productions.
Through his online presence as xngkuuu, Fikri continues to explore short-form content as a platform for visual storytelling. The growth of his TikTok content demonstrates how creators with a background in film production can adapt their visual skills to social media while developing new ways to engage digital audiences.
