SCHAUMBURG, IL — Pulse Technology (https://pulsetechnology.com), a seven-decade family business serving the IT, Managed Print Services, Audio-Visual and other technology needs of businesses throughout the Midwest and beyond, announced today that Nathan Waldschmidt of Oak Park, IL has been named to the position of Sales Development Representative.
In this capacity, he will develop new business for the growing company, introducing the Pulse Technology suite of services including managed print services, audio-visual, IT, and robotics, among others. He will be based out of the company’s Schaumburg, IL location.
Prior to joining Pulse Technology, Waldschmidt started and ran a roofing company – for two years. He then turned it over to his cousin, a co-founder of the business. Following that, he sold insurance for Northwestern Mutual, where he won several awards for sales performance.
The position with Pulse Technology appealed to him, in part, because he has always been drawn to technology. He did have the chance to put his talent to work at Northwestern, by building some software platforms for the company’s use.
The Dominican University graduate, who earned a bachelor’s degree with a major in marketing and a minor in management, played basketball for three of his four years.
He enjoys outdoor activities including fishing, hiking, and he loves animals. Growing up on a farm, he raised his own cows.
He comes from a close family. His brother at age 3 had cancer, and it was the medical technology that saved his life as he grew into adulthood. In support of his brother’s recovery, he has been involved with fundraisers to support Make a Wish, the Mac Fund and other cancer research. His mother was his business teacher in high school, and his father was the school’s basketball coach. He has a brother, Connor, and sister Myla. His family still owns and operates their 400-acre farm in Wisconsin, which has been home to generations of their family since the family bought the property in 1860.
