Listing a property traditionally requires tedious manual uploads and repetitive data entry. In Singapore, the real estate market also faces a growing threat from agent impersonation scams and fraudulent listings. These issues create unnecessary friction for agents trying to market homes efficiently and make prospective buyers vulnerable to bad actors. The industry needs a streamlined, secure approach to property marketing that removes these persistent barriers.
PropertyVow.com solves these challenges by introducing Singapore’s first WhatsApp-based property listing platform. The company, operated by Our Vow Pte Ltd, recently expanded its services to allow direct homeowners to list safely using Singpass Myinfo verification. In this interview, we speak with Dedy Djajapermana, Chief Strategist at Our Vow Pte Ltd, to explore how this new technology simplifies property transactions and enhances security for everyone involved.
Q: What inspired PropertyVow to bypass traditional web forms and build a listing system entirely around WhatsApp?
Dedy: Actually we do not just provide a listing system through WhatsApp. We do have a form-based listing system too; however, we want to get one step even closer to our users, by allowing them to publish via WhatsApp and completely remove the learning-curve to familiarize with the form and system. Users may use something that is already very familiar in their day to day communication tool.
Q: Agent impersonation scams are a rising concern in Singapore. How does your backend verification against the CEA public register actively prevent this fraud?
Dedy: In Singapore, the real estate industry is strictly regulated. Every Real Estate Salesperson (property agent) must be certified and assigned publicly verifiable registration details in the CEA public register. What our platform does: first, we verify ownership of the phone number provided during registration with OTP; we then match that verified phone number against the corresponding information published by CEA to confirm the agent's identity. This real-time process has effectively made agent-impersonation attempts in our portal almost-impossible.
Q: Opening the platform to direct sellers is a major shift. Why was integrating Singpass Myinfo essential for bringing homeowners directly into the marketplace?
Dedy: We understand that property transactions can be complex and require clear understanding of the legal and procedural processes. However, we do believe that there is a segment of home-owners that would like to handle the transaction themselves, for their own reasons. We want to make that option available to them while maintaining integrity of our listings and make sure that every listing is traceable to the actual person who was publishing it. It was obvious that the best option for that accountability was the official national digital identity system Singpass Myinfo.
Q: You emphasize keeping technology simple rather than adding features just for the sake of innovation. How does this philosophy benefit your users on a daily basis?
Dedy: Everyday, we are exposed to new innovation, new technology, and under pressure to keep ourselves up to date in their adoption. Although that is ideal, sometimes the real risk is that we are ‘distracted’ and may even neglect the real reason, the real objective itself: in property, to close the deal as soon as possible. We pick a philosophy that prioritizes objective-fulfilment as opposed to ‘advanced technology’ that is solely for the sake of hype.
Q: By eliminating tedious data entry, how has this free listing service changed the daily workflow for CEA-registered agents?
Dedy: We are confident that our platform significantly saves time, especially for busy or part-time agents who need to get their listings live quickly without spending unnecessary time filling out extensive fields. By streamlining administrative work, agents can focus more of their energy on client communication and closing deals.
Q: As PropertyVow continues to expand, what is your long-term vision for the real estate resale market in Singapore?
Dedy: Having built this portal from the ground up, our goal is to remain cost-effective and provide a genuinely competitive option in the market. Ultimately, we hope to foster healthier, more accessible property marketing competition in Singapore—benefiting homeowners, agents, buyers, and tenants alike.
This conversation reveals the immense value of prioritizing simplicity and security in property technology. By leveraging everyday tools like WhatsApp and trusted national systems like Singpass, PropertyVow removes the friction from listing homes. The platform effectively protects home-seekers from scams while giving agents and owners a faster, more reliable way to market properties.
As the real estate market continues to digitize, user-friendly and secure platforms will dictate the future of property transactions. Innovations that prioritize seamless experiences and eliminate fraud establish a new standard for the industry. PropertyVow remains positioned to lead this shift, delivering practical solutions that empower the entire Singapore real estate community.
